Pondering

I'm alone now. Everyone else has gone back to their family for the Chinese New Year holiday and I won't be doing that till tomorrow. Well, now that I'm alone, I could not help but to ponder on a lot of things. Relationship, family, friends, studies, the future and the list goes on. What spurred me to start thinking was the silence around me and the thought of Chinese New year.

Year after year, I celebrate this auspicious season with my family and close friends but thinking about it deeper, it also means another year has come and gone. I'm not getting any younger and pretty soon, I'll be moving on to the next phase of my life and become a working class individual. I'm thinking, will I be successful? what will I be doing for a living? will I be a good provider for my family (when the time comes)? I can't find answers to those questions.

I'm taking the relationship I'm in 1 day at a time. While I'm trying to write a happy ending for it, things are never certain. But it's more than just trying to write a happy ending. Soon, she'll be where her job takes her and the same goes for me. How are we going to maintain the relationship if it becomes a long distance relationship? Again, I have no answer to that.

Pondering on the future can be quite taxing for the brain, well at least mine, so somehow, I drifted to my final lap in the university. My dad has been calling me even more frequent now to check on and  reminding me to study. That's not a bad thing of course it's just that him calling me so frequent now makes me a little more nervous. I'm got to think about my Final Year Project (FYP), my assignments and my mid-term tests. Will I be able to handle them. Yea.. I've been through tons of tests and assignments but being in the final year makes it all the more different. I just feel that way. I'm kinda wondering if I'll be able to make it out of my FYP alive.

Well, it seems after writing so much, I only have questions. No answers, no solutions. What a drag...
With all these questions and doubts and uncertainty, I feel lost.

Reading my draft and re-reading them again, I realized I definitely have no answers to what my future holds. But what I suddenly realized is that I can plan and act so as to not end up being what I don't want to be. It seems logical now doesn't it? Now hopefully, the Tiger will roar some courage, confidence and strength to turn this little spark into a strong bright flame. Happy Chinese New Year!!!

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief

I got a free pass to watch  the special screening of "Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief" yesterday at Cathay Cineplex in Damansara (A big Thanks to Daniel). It was AWESOME that I got watch this movie even before other Malaysians got to do so *feeling special now* XD

Well, we did get some "entertainment" along the way. First, there I was sitting comfortably in my seat just before the movie started, suddenly out of no where, a women started cursing. She eventually left the hall with an elderly guy still cursing. I have no idea what the whole commotion was all about and seriously, it was damn annoying. Interrupted my peace.

Then, halfway though the movie, technical error. =.='' that's when people started making noise and there was this guy in the front who out of no where shouted "satu Malaysia". I have no idea what satu Malaysia has got to do technical error, so, WTF!? Eventually, got things fixed and of course, the scene where fast forwarded a bit. Not to my liking. I hate watching movie halfway halfway; but hey the bright side is, it's free =P

THE FOLLOWING IS MOVIE SPOILER!!!

The movie revolves around the son of Poseidon who was thought to have stolen the lightning bolt from Zeus. Zeus then sets a dateline to which his lightning bolt must be return to him of it will be Zeus vs Poseidon. Upon hearing rumors that Percy, Son of Poseidon, had stolen the bolt, everyone was suddenly after him, including Hades. Hades held his mom as a hostage forcing Percy to travel to the underworld to try save his mom. Travelling to the underworld is not a problem; getting back to the real world of course is a bit of a problem. They'd need a special pearl. The whole movie emphasized on Percy's adventure to get this special pearl a tad too much so much so I kinda think the movie should be named "Percy Jackson and The Special Pearl to Get The Hell Out of  Hell". Oh, there's also some love thrown in along way. Two kinds of love if you must know, motherly love and girlfriendly love. Fighting scenes where awe-full, and scenes where not well synchronized. There are a few stuff I enjoyed watching throughout the special screening; the special effects of the water and the handsome young Logan Lerman but that's about it. My overall rating of this movie is 4/10

God Explained In A Taxi Ride

I was in Borders yesterday and found this book "God explained in a taxi ride" by Paul Arden. Just by looking at the title of the book, I sometimes wished the bible could do that. This book tries to explain the existence of God through pictures and a few wittily formed sentences (at times, paragraphs).

It starts off by giving an overview of the different religions and their beliefs; of course, putted in a very comical way. On of my favorites is the authors view on 'Reincarnation' in which he wrote:

You die.
You're buried and fertilize the plants.
The plants are eaten by snails.
Man eat snails.
Now you are a Frenchman
voila

What follows after that is simple an effort to explain the question "Is there God?". Overall, it's a book worth reading :)

Liverpool 1-0 Everton

I got back just a while ago and much to my delight, Liverpool's Dirk Kuyt gave the Reds the lead against their neighbor, Everton by heading it home in the 55th minute. I wasn't able to watch the game but no matter, I was out having fun :)

I'm glad we were able to rack in 3 points from this derby game, which puts us in fourth place. Will see how Tottenham fair against Aston Villa and hopefully things will turn out in favor of the Reds.

A rather impressive result for Liverpool who had to play with ten men almost throughout the game.

Well I been meaning to control my caloric intake
so I'm startin off with a fruit and yogurt parfait.
I got my friend here in the the passenger seat--
I wanna lettuce sandwich and make my bun wheat.
Is that all you want? Nah, I'll take a snack wrap.
But fill it with tofu. Do ya'll have that?

Gimme a grilled chicken sandwich; I been meaning to try it.
And Biggie size my soda but you better make it diet.

And hold up 'cause this rhyme and through yet.
Give us some balsamic vin-egret.
I got cash--I got debit.
Can we do these orders separate?
You still owe me five bucks.
You're never gonna get it.
